Kane Brown seemed to know immediately when he had a mishap on a golf course: “That sounded like it hit somebody!”
Brown shared a video on Instagram on Thursday morning (February 2), capturing the moment he hit a man on the golf course and the interaction they shared afterward. “To be fair this was only my 9th time playing golf , AND I told everyone move 🤷🏽♂️😂”
The genre-blending country artist says “oh, no,” immediately after making contact with the ball. The crowd joins him in warning, “fore!,” though it apparently wasn’t enough time for one man to get out of the way. Brown knew, “that sounded like it hit somebody,” he says in the video.
The man who was hit, however, appeared to be a good sport about the whole thing.
“Please tell me you kept the ball,” Brown said after he found the man he hit, insisting he sign the ball. “I feel like I need to take a picture. This is gonna sound really weird, but I’m gonna need you to lift your shirt up for me.”
The man, smiling, lifted his shirt to reveal a bruise on his side. Brown grinned as he took a selfie with the man and the bruise he was left with after the golfing incident.
“I’m standing over here, minding my own business, and little do I know Kane gets me right in the side,” the man said in the clip. “But it was worth it for the signed ball right there, baby. It was worth it for the signed ball.”
Brown replied to a commenter on Instagram, explaining that he’s home at the moment. The golfing incident happened last year and “it came up on my timeline haha.” Watch the video here:
