Jelly Roll posted a new trailer for his soon-to-release documentary on Tuesday (May 23), reflecting on reentering the world after spending time in jail, struggling with his mental health and more as he chronicles his incredible rise to stardom.
âI came out of jail with a plan. I was gonna put every piece of energy I had into music,â Jelly Roll said in the clip he shared on Tuesday. âItâs almost like something just clicked right then. I came home and jumped out of the window with no parachute. âŠI donât know if I thought I deserved a better life, but I was willing to do whatever it took to have one.â
The new Jelly Roll: Save Me trailer captures interview moments, performances in massive venues and intimate, emotional moments with fans who have been inspired by the âSon Of A Sinnerâ artistâs music, including some who wipe tears from their eyes or cry in Jelly Rollâs arms. The powerful trailer drew supportive and emotional comments from Priscilla Block, Dan + Shayâs Shay Mooney, ERNEST and others. Jelly Rollâs wife, Bunnie, gushed that sheâs âSO proudâ of her husband.
Jelly Roll: Save Me is âan unvarnished and inspiring documentary,â reads the artistâs Instagram caption. The ABC News Studios-produced project will be available on Hulu on May 30. Shortly after that, Jelly Rollâs highly-anticipated new album, Whitsitt Chapel, will make its debut on June 2. Watch the new documentary trailer here:
