Here's one of the rare GOOD things that's come out of the pandemic. Family dinners are lasting 15 minutes longer than they used to.

Not everyone sits down for dinner every night. But when we do, it lasts an average of 1 hour and 25 minutes. That's compared to 1 hour and 10 minutes before the pandemic.

Here are a few more random stats from the poll . . .

1. 57% of people say their family gets together for meals more often than they did a year-and-a-half ago.

2. 58% say dinner is the most relaxing part of their day.

3. Over half of parents say cooking with their kids is a regular thing now.

4. The most common dinner activities include sharing family news, talking about your day, and watching TV.

5. 68% of families have adopted at least one UNOFFICIAL "family member" in the last 18 months. Friends, coworkers, and neighbors are the most likely to be considered "part of the family" now.
