Well, today's the day that Netflix sends out its final DVDs. Don't feel bad if you didn't even know Netflix still mailed out DVDs. Fewer than a million subscribers held on this long.
There are only five distribution centers left . . . in California, Texas, Georgia, and New Jersey.
Those of you who refused to quit your plans get an extra bonus: You get to KEEP whatever comes your way. Some subscribers have been chosen to receive 10 discs as a parting gift.
At its peak, the DVD service had 20 million subscribers, and a library of more than 100,000 titles.
Netflix shipped its first DVD in 1998. It was "Beetlejuice".
