Walker Burroughs Offered Therapist After Elimination From American Idol

Walker Burroughs was a contestant on the last season of American Idol. He was one of eight contestants remaining when he was eliminated after the episode featuring Queen's music. Not all was lost though, Burroughs was someone that mentor Bobby Bones thought would make it further. Bones was impressed with Burroughs so much so that he invited him to join himself and his band The Raging Idiots on their latest tour Bobby Bones and The Raging Idiots: It's Just The Two Of Us... Sorry! Burroughs has not only been on the road with them, but he's also been writing songs with Bones and Eddie.

Burroughs stopped by The Bobby Bones Show to perform his single "The Moon Song" as well as a cover of Toy Story 2's "When She Loved Me." During his performance, he talked about how American Idol changed his life. He went from wanting to work in the music industry and getting a degree at Belmont University to pursuing his talents in being an artist while simultaneously still getting his college degree.

He confessed that once you're eliminated from American Idol, they immediately take you to a therapist for the option to talk to someone. He said once that happened he broke down and it was really hard coming to the realization that he had gotten eliminated.
