TMSG:Principal Gets Washer & Dryer Donated To School To Help Less Fortunate

DeVetta Farrow, principal of Coquillard Elementary School, noticed back in 2017 when she first started as princpital that students were not wearing their proper uniform. Most of the excuses from students were about not enough resources like "this is not our wash time," or "we ran out of money."

The lack of clean clothes also led to behavioral issues and absences from school. Thanks to their community leaders and church Christ Temple Apostolic Church, the school received a brand new washing machine and dryer to Coquillard.

Now the students will be able to get their uniforms cleaned for free. Farrow says the new washing machine and dryer is a game changer for her school. She told ABC 57,

"We know that when those kids come in and they look good, they feel good, and they're going to exude confidence."
