*LIST* The Coldest Cities In The U.S

  • A new 24/7 Wall Street report reveals the 50 coldest cities in the U.S.
  • They determined their list by reviewing the minimum average temperature for the coldest month from 1981 to 2010 for every city with at least 10,000 residents
  • Fairbanks, Alaska, is the coldest city in the U.S., with the normal low in the coldest month negative 16.9 Fahrenheit, and the lowest temperature on record being negative 64.5 F 

While there are some parts of the country that don’t have to deal with the cold during winter, the rest of us are probably already sick of wearing layers and bundling up in order to go outside and still freeze. But let’s face it, folks in some parts of the country have it way worse than others when it comes to the cold, and a new report reveals which areas have it the worst.

A new 24/7 Wall Street report reveals the 50 coldest cities in the U.S., determining their list by reviewing the minimum average temperature for the coldest month from 1981 to 2010 for every city with at least 10,000 residents.

So, where are people freezing the most in the U.S.? Well, Fairbanks, Alaska, where the normal low in the coldest month is negative-16.9 Fahrenheit, with the lowest temperature on record being negative-64.5 F.
