BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Patriots and Rams were tied at three until Sony Michel scored the go-ahead touchdown with seven minutes left to help the Pats to their third Super Bowl championship in five years last night at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Coach Bill Belichick was awfully proud.

"Obviously Mr. Kraft put this all together, but it's all about the players," Belichick said. "These guys worked so hard all year. They just competed every week, and they competed today like champions. They played like champions."

Just amazing. Eighteen years of Belichick and Tom Brady. Thirteen AFC Championship appearances. Nine Super Bowls. Six titles. So many records along the way.

All under owner Robert Kraft’s watch.

"There is one constant throughout throughout this whole eighteen years," he said. "Two men who are the best at whatever's been done in the history of the NFL."

Oh, and if you’re wondering if Brady’s coming back next year—he is. And he’s eager for a fourth straight Super Bowl appearance.

"Look at this! How could this not motivate you?" he said during the celebrations after the win. "This is what it's all about."

We can’t wait.
