Krystal Keith recently delivered a stunning rendition of the National Anthem, and a clip shared to Toby Keith’s social media accounts on Thursday evening (January 2) is captioned: “We’re sure Toby would’ve said ‘That’s my girl!’”

The beloved “Should’ve Been A Cowboy” artist “passed peacefully…surrounded by family,” per a statement nearly one year ago. Keith died on February 5, 2024, following a battle with stomach cancer. He was 62. The Country Music Hall of Fame inductee is survived by his wife, Tricia Covel, who was married to the country star for nearly four decades at the time of his passing. Keith is also survived by his grandchildren and his three children, son Stelen Keith Covel, 28, and daughters Krystal, 39, and Shelley Covel Rowland, 45.

Keith has been honored in many tributes since his loss, including a moving performance that Krystal delivered during the Toby Keith: American Icon show at Bridgestone Arena in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee. The star-studded tribute show included performances by Eric Church, Brantley Gilbert, Ashley McBryde, Jelly Roll, Carrie Underwood, Lainey Wilson and many others. Krystal wore her father’s custom-made hat as she performed “Don’t Let The Old Man In.” She said on her late father’s birthday in July, “we miss him like crazy.”
